Unlike conventional consumer USB drives optimized primarily for
burst transfers, the Amber UV200 is designed around stable long-duration
recording behavior. Through a USB 3.2 Gen1 interface, it delivers up to 200
MB/s read and 80 MB/s write speeds, while maintaining sustained full capacity
write performance of at least 60 MB/s.
Such consistency matters in automotive environments where
workloads rarely pause. Multi-channel dashcam recording and extended parking
surveillance generate continuous streams of data that can quickly trigger
performance drops or sustained-write limitations in general-purpose fl
ash
storage. The UV200 handles those demands quietly in the background, supporting
consistent recording during daily driving, long-distance travel, or even in
monitoring sessions while parked.

Built around an integrated MUDP structure, the UV200 adopts an ultra-compact

The low-profile design allows the drive to remain connected

Designed for In-Car and Everyday Use
Inside a vehicle, flash storage faces operating conditions far
more demanding than those encountered in the typical desktop. Heat buildup
while under direct sunlight, winter cold, uneven road vibration, and continuous
power cycling can all negatively affect short- and long-term reliability.
The Amber UV200 works across temperatures ranging from -25°C to
75°C, with storage tolerance extending from -40°C to 85°C. Designed for stable
operation under daily in-car conditions, the UV200 also includes 1-meter drop
protection for added durability especially during transport and handling.
As always-on recording and parking-monitoring functions become
more common, maintaining stable storage performance under harsh in-car
conditions is becoming increasingly important.
Optimized for Long-Duration Recording
The UV200 leverages high-endurance 3D TLC NAND for repetitive
overwrite workloads common in dashcam and surveillance applications. Continuous
loop recording places a fundamentally different strain on flash memory than
intermittent file transfers, particularly when footage is constantly rewritten
over extended periods.
Available starting at 128 GB, the UV200 is tailored for continuous
recording workloads common in everyday in-car use. As well as recording
workloads, the UV200 can also store high-quality FLAC and WAV music libraries
for playback on supported vehicle systems.
Everyday Connectivity Beyond the Vehicle
Although developed primarily for automotive recording workloads, the UV200 also remains compatible with laptops and desktops, allowing recorded footage, music libraries, and transferred files to move easily between the vehicle and your home or office.Its compact low-profile design and Midnight Violet finish help the drive remain visually unobtrusive inside the cabin while still fitting naturally into everyday portable use.
