Transcend introduced new dual-lens the DrivePro 550 dashcam

Transcend announced the release of the DrivePro 550 Dashcam. Featuring a dual lens camera and a large viewing angle, the dashcam simultaneously captures what is happening on the road and inside the vehicle. The DrivePro 550’s front lens is equipped with a Sony image sensor with a large ƒ/2.2 aperture and a 160° viewing angle for crystal clear images; the rear lens camera has four infrared LEDs that turn on automatically in dim light. These and other features mean the DrivePro 550 offers optimum protection inside and outside of the vehicle.

Crystal clear front and rear recording with Sony sensor
Transcend’s DrivePro 550’s front and rear lenses allow users to capture events on the road and inside their vehicle. The front lens integrates a Sony image sensor, a large 160° viewing angle, and a ƒ/2.2 aperture, resulting in clear, smooth 1080p (30fps) recordings under all lighting conditions. The rear lens has four infrared LEDs that automatically turn on in dim light, dramatically increasing in-car recording quality even at night.

GPS/Glonass receiver for geotagging videos and images
The DrivePro 550’s built-in GPS/Glonass receiver can geotag videos and photos, precisely identifying where an incident happened so that emergency road services, police, or an insurance representative can respond more quickly. With the exclusive DrivePro Toolbox, Windows users can view their route on a map display during video playback along with such information as GPS coordinates, speed, date, and time.

Additional features ensure greater safety
The DrivePro 550’s new Head-Up Display feature allows drivers to see their current speed on-screen along with safety alerts such as lane departure warning, forward collision warning, headlight reminder, and driver fatigue alert. And, when parking mode or the time-lapse video recording function is enabled, the dashcam stands as sentry, protecting the vehicle even when the driver is away.

Exclusive DrivePro Toolbox and DrivePro App
The user-friendly DrivePro Toolbox features a sorting function to quickly locate video clips by filename, recording date, or group. The DrivePro Toolbox also provides a customizable screenshot function allowing for the capture of a single frame so that users can rapidly find the shot they are seeking. The DrivePro 550 also comes equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity that works with both Apple iOS and Android devices through the free DrivePro App. The App allows users to view and download videos and images captured, and also easily change settings.

The DrivePro 550 dashcam is backed by Transcend’s Two-year Limited Warranty.
