Acer announced the the XR341CK, an ultra-wide curved monitor with AMD FreeSync technology

Acer just announced the XR341CK, an ultra-wide curved monitor featuring a 34-inch QHD panel with AMD FreeSync™ technology in a zero frame design.

By wrapping around the gamer’s field of view, the curved 21:9 panel draws gamers deeper into the action for a more fully immersive experience. The wide field of view increases the perceived area of peripheral vision compared to a flat display of the same size.

“This killer new monitor makes game play incredibly realistic,” said Charlotte Chen, Acer America product manager. “The ultra-wide curved design, stunning image quality and dynamic audio take the thrill of gaming to a new level.”

Maximum Viewing Area

The sleek 34-inch curved zero frame design lets gamers absorb visuals comfortably without blind spots. It also provides maximum viewing area and is perfect for multi-monitor setups and daisy chaining for an even broader view.

Stunning, Smooth Gameplay

Thanks to an ultra-high QHD (3440x1440@75Hz) resolution, pictures are amazingly sharp and realistic. FreeSync, AMD’s version of Adaptive Sync technology, allows the GPU to control the display’s refresh rate to eliminate tearing and stuttering, and reduce mouse latency, which enables smooth gameplay at virtually any framerate. The IPS panel delivers accurate colors up to 172 degrees horizontally and 178 degrees vertically. For thrilling sound effects, two 7W speakers with DTS® Sound enrich games with dynamic, world-class audio.

A fast 4ms response time assures actions or dramatic transitions will be rendered smoothly without smearing or ghosting effects. In addition, 100 percent sRGB delivers the high color accuracy required by gamers, design professionals and photo enthusiasts.

Primed for Comfort

The Acer XR341CK is equipped with Acer EyeProtect technologies to reduce eye strain and optimize comfort. It includes flicker-less technology that helps eliminate screen flicker and a filter to reduce exposure to blue light. It also offers low dimming, which allows users to adjust down to 15 percent brightness in low light environments and ComfyView technology to lessen reflections from external light sources.

An adjustable aluminium stand provides optimal comfort with ergonomic tilt from – 5 to 35 degrees and height adjustments up to 5 inches. A cable management hole keeps cables organized and out of the way. Wall mountable, it can save valuable desk space.

Multitasking Monster

With picture-by-picture (PBP) functionality, people can connect two inputs to the same monitor and view two documents side by side on one screen. In addition, the picture-in-picture (PIP) setting lets customers watch a movie or video, while simultaneously working on a project.

Designed for a demanding audience, it can also handle high rates of data transfer, which requires high-bandwidth data cables. That’s why it comes with HDMI v 2.0 supporting MHL charging, DisplayPort, miniDisplay Port and DisplayPort out. A USB 3.0 hub (1u up/4 down) provides gamers a convenient way to connect a mouse, keyboard, gaming headset and other accessories.
