Putrajaya Corporation to Equip Its Officers on Duty With Transcend's DrivePro Body 52 Body Cameras

Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend ), a leading manufacturer of storage and multimedia products, is proud to announce that officers of Putrajaya Corporation, local authority of Putrajaya, Malaysia will be equipped with Transcend's DrivePro Body 52. A total of 18 units of DrivePro Body 52 and 3 docking station are presented to Putrajaya Corporation to provide support with detailed video evidence which will help to further improve its emergency services, professional safety and work efficiency.

Comprised of a main unit and a separated camera unit which can be securely mounted on uniforms or jackets, the DrivePro Body 52 is tailored for law enforcement, private security and other professionals. It features a camera with wide 130° field of view, a large f /1.8 aperture and a Sony image sensor for color-rich and high-resolution image even in low light condition.

The DrivePro Body 52 is built to be IPX4 rated, which allow it to withstand extreme weather and conditions. It is also powered by a built-in Li-Polymer battery that enables up to 3.5 hours of 1080p full-HD video recording on a full charge. Other than recording video, the DrivePro Body 52 has a quick snapshot button which allows users to take photos while recording video footages simultaneously. This makes the DrivePro Body 52 an excellent choice for outdoor recording.

"As some individuals can turn aggressive upon confrontation, using a visible camera or smartphone to gather evidence during incident can be rather inefficient and ineffective. Transcend's DrivePro Body 52 has a concealed design which is less visible to the sight, which fit for the job. Photos and video footages can be recorded without being noticed during confrontation, making evidence gathering a lot easier for the officers on duty," said Mr. Noor Azhar Zainal, Senior Assistant Director of Putrajaya Corporation.

The 18 units of DrivePro Body 52 body cameras presented to Putrajaya Corporation (PjC) or Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj),  will be supplied to officers on duty to assist them in gathering video evidence should the need arise. The photos and video recordings can be managed directly from the headquarters with the 3 docking station included, allowing up to 6 DrivePro Body 52 to be docked for charging and automatically backup a copy of photos and recording to the main computer.

"Putrajaya Corporation is currently the first local enforcement team in Malaysia to be deployed with Trascend's DrivePro Body 52. We'll be going through a 3-month trial and I am very looking forward for the positive outcome. There are actually other enforcement department that is interested in deploying the Trascend's DrivePro Body 52 for their operation as well, if the result is good," added Mr. Noor Azhar Zainal.
