AMD Ryzen 5 3500X Now Available In Malaysia,

Finally the AMD Ryzen 5 3500X is made available to other regions, including Malaysia, starting from next week. The Ryzen 5 3500X lacks the hyperthreading feature as what we’ve seen on the Ryzen 5 3600X and 3600, which makes it a 6 cores 6 threads processor just like the Intel 8th gen and 9th gen Core i5 processors family.
Despite not having hyperthreading, the Ryzen 5 3500X shares many similarities with the Ryzen 5 3600 i.e 3.6GHz base clock, almost similar boost clock at 4.1GHz, 65W TDP, as well as the included CPU cooler.

Looking at the specs above, it’s clear that the Ryzen 5 3500X will be competing directly against the Intel Core i5-9400 and i5-9400F. It’s true that the specs seem to be quite similar in overall and the Core i5-9400F appears to be slightly more affordable at the price of 599 MYR, the Ryzen 5 3500X has the advantage when it comes to overclocking for both CPU and memory.
If you’re planning on upgrading your current Quad-Core setup to a Hexa-Core setup and don’t really need the hyperthreading feature, the Ryzen 5 3500X will be available in Malaysia starting from next week and priced at only 639 MYR.
