Assemble the whole team! TAIWAN EDTECH

Over the past 600 days, the pandemic has changed the world, and the world has changed us. At the same time, it has also inspired many innovative industrial models, resulting in unprecedented qualitative and quantitative transformation. If the boundary between physical and virtual becomes more blurred, then how can we sustain the new normalcy for post-epidemic? How should the industry face the global open market? Let us consider the crisis as fuel because it is accelerating the growth of educational technology!

The "METEAEDU" program promoted by the Industrial Development Bureau of Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs is going to lead the education technology industry into the global arena and move towards common prosperity, it is expected to start from November 1st for a period of five days. A series of activities will be designed on the three major themes of innovative diffusion, talent cultivation, and ecosystem integration. Government agencies from various countries, international research institutions, and global venture capital companies, education experts, and learning technology professionals participate in the annual event, this time allowing Taiwan to stand on a new international stage.

The focus of this exhibition is the "HolonIQ 2021 TAIWAN EDTECH 50" competition organized by the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Institute for Information Industry, and HolonIQ, the world's largest scientific and education technology research institute.  The competition will identify outstanding education technology companies in Taiwan. The selected companies will also compete for the next stage of the Asian region "EastAsia EDTECH 150", which means that the energy of Taiwan's educational technology has been recognized internationally. HolonIQ has analysts and experts on six continents and publishes more than 200 research reports and long-term forecasts annually. This evaluation is particularly credible and authoritative in collaboration with the Industry Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Institute for Information Industry.

On the first day of the exhibition on November 1st, HolonIQ will host an online forum for Taiwan EDTECH 50 to discuss the 2021 market research report and invite award-winning companies to share their business ideas and future development plans. The event on November 2 will be an invitation-only entry in response to epidemic prevention considerations. The agenda includes inviting all companies selected for EDTECH 50 to accept recognition and issue certificates, the completion of the demonstration site (POC) that was jointly inaugurated by the three countries of Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, plus a final selection of teaching lesson plan of hybrid learning. The award ceremony will be physically held in the multifunctional hall on the second floor of Song-Shan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei, and the event will be broadcast live simultaneously.

The event on November 3 is to cooperate with the Commonwealth Magazine Education Foundation to hold the 2021 International Reading Education Online Forum. This year, with "sustainability, digital and reading" as the main axis, it will share trends and practices of international reading education relevant to the sustainability issues of SDGs for the first-line education professionals. In order to integrate educational technology into on-site teaching and practice blended learning to improve learning quality and eliminate digital gaps, and to achieve the SDG4-Quality Education in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Experts from Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) will be invited on November 4th, together with Indonesian Ministry of Education and Communications (Pusdatin) representatives to share and explore how to use technology to accelerate the goal of digital equality.

In the online event on the last day of November 5, international investment experts, overseas startup teams, and research institutions are invited to talk to domestic industry players to discuss the environment of Taiwan’s EDTECH industry, the necessary conditions for investment cooperation, and the future of the industry, plus trends and the transformation and acceleration of international development cooperation.

The pavilion will be divided into 10 major educational application themes and integrate more than 70 Taiwanese companies. This is the first online exhibition in collaboration with Smart City Summit & Expo (SCSE). SCSE has been an internationally renowned smart city and IoT industry exhibition since it was first held in 2014. Now it is not only a showcase for Taiwanese manufacturers to display smart city solutions but also the largest IoT solution industry exhibition in Asia, featuring city leaders, CIOs, telecom carriers, system integrators, solution providers, and IoT services from all over the world.
